Alison Grann, MD, Chairwoman, board-certified Radiation Oncologist, joined the Depar tment of Radiation Oncology at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Februar y 2000. Previously, Dr. Grann practiced at Memorial Sloan- Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan where she worked in the Depar tment of Radiation Oncology.

Dr. Grann graduated cum laude from George Washington University in Washington, DC, followed by her medical degree at the George Washington University School of Medicine. She completed residencies in internal medicine at Harvard Medical School, Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, MA, and in radiation oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Grann is committed to research and is a thought-leader in the field of radiation oncology and has served as principal investigator on several different clinical trials. She has completed over 20 research projects, publications, conference proceedings, abstracts, and book chapters. In addition, she is a member of numerous medical organizations including; American Society for Therapeutic Radiology Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Medical Association, Metropolitan Breast Group and Society of Breast Diseases.

Dr. Grann takes a special interest in the treatment and research of breast cancer, brain tumors, prostate cancer, gastrointestinal cancers. She has extensive expertise in various treatment options; including stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy (3D-CRT), intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), stereotactic radiosurger y (SRS), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), and low-dose rate (LDR) brachytherapy, proton therapy, intraoperative radiation therapy, hyper thermia.

Dr. Grann has received numerous awards and honors and is consistently listed in “Top Doctors” in NJ Monthly Magazine and “Best Doctors in America” Castle Connelly. In addition, Dr. Grann serves on the Board of Trustees for Saint Barnabas Medical Center and is committed to service in the community.
